呫吨酮（英语：Xanthone）是一种有机化合物，化学式为O[C6H4]2CO。它是一种白色固体。呫吨酮可由水杨酸苯酯加热制得。[2]
1939年，呫吨酮开始被用于制造杀虫剂，后来用作苹果蠹蛾卵的杀卵剂及杀幼虫剂。[3]呫吨酮也被用于制备呫吨醇，可用于测定血液中尿素的含量。呫吨酮也可以用作光催化剂。 [4]
衍生物
自然界中存在众多呫吨酮的衍生物，如倒捻子素等，它们统称为“呫吨酮类化合物”（xanthonoids）。这类化合物主要存在于多子科及金丝桃科植物中，也存在于几种川苔草科植物中。[5]许多呫吨酮类化合物都是在山竹（Garcinia mangostana）的果皮中发现的。现已有超过200种呫吨酮类化合物被分离出来。[6]
