M69梅西耶69,也称为NGC 6637,是在人马座南侧的一个球状星团.[a]。它的位置在箕宿三(人马座ε)东北方2.5度,在口径50mm的双筒望远镜中隐约可见。梅西耶在1780年8月31日发现它,当晚它同时也发现了另一个球状星团M70。当时,他正在寻找尼可拉·路易·拉卡伊在1751-2年间于南非观测时所描述的天体,并认为重新发现了它,但并不清楚拉卡伊描述的是否就是M69[8]

M69距离地球28,700光年[3],距离银河核心5,200光年[9],在空间中的半径为45光年[6]。它是一个金属量相对丰富的球状星团,很可能是核球的成员[10]。它的质量为200000 太阳质量,半质量半径为11.6 ly[5],核心半径为29.2 ly,潮汐半径为91.9 ly[3]。它的中心有一个明亮的光度密度6,460 L·pc−3(表示每立方厘米)[9]。与它类似的近邻,同为球状星团M70之间的距离可能只有1,800光年[11]
