  1. ^ In some dialects, it is omitted or pronounced [r].
  2. ^ Sometimes omitted between vowels.
  3. ^ Sometimes pronounced [j].
  4. ^ In some dialects, it is pronounced [r].
  5. ^ a b c A nasal consonant always assimilates its place of articulation to that of the following consonant. Thus, before /g/ or /k/, it is velar ŋ, and before /v/ or /f/, it is labiodental ɱ. It is alveolar m only before /p/ or /b/.
  6. ^ In some dialects, it is pronounced [ʃ] before [t].
  7. ^ In some dialects, it is pronounced [æ].
  8. ^ a b In some dialects, it is pronounced [æ] or [a].
