WASP-107b是一颗距离地球约200光年的超级海王星型系外行星，在天球上位于室女座[3]。该行星由艾希特大学的天文学家Jessica Spake领导的团队使用哈伯太空望远镜发现[4]。天文学家在该行星的大气层中发现了氦，是在系外行星大气层中首次发现[4]。
特性
[编辑]WASP-107b距离地球约200光年，类型为气态巨行星中的超级海王星，天球上位于室女座[3]。WASP-107b的体积大致与木星相当，但质量只有大约木星的八分之一，因此是密度最低的系外行星之一[3]。WASP-107b的半径大约是木星的0.94倍，因此它的大气层相当蓬松，并且母恒星是一颗中等亮度的K型恒星，使它成为大气特征研究的目标 [6]。WASP-107b的轨道半径只有水星轨道的八分之一，轨道周期只有5.7日[3]，因此表面温度约800 K，是已知最热行星之一[3]。
