里滕豪斯陨石坑

里滕豪斯陨石坑（Rittenhouse）是位于月球背面南极区的一座大撞击坑，其名称取自十八世纪美国天文学家、发明家、数学家暨测量师戴维·里滕豪斯(1732年-1796年)，1970年国际天文学联合会批准接受。

描述

该陨坑位于巨大的环壁平原-薛定谔环形山的西侧外壁坡上，西侧毗邻黑尔环形山、南北分别坐落了甘斯文特环形山和西科尔斯基环形山，而修长、笔直的薛定谔月谷则伸延在它的北面^[1]。该陨坑中心月面坐标为74°15′S 107°04′E / 74.25°S 107.07°E / -74.25; 107.07，直径27.5公里^[2]，深度1.9公里^[3]。

里滕豪斯陨石坑外观不太圆，略呈方形状，坑沿边缘尖峭清晰，受侵蚀和磨损程度较低。内侧壁坡面平坦和缓，带有较高的反照率。坑壁平均高出周边地形870米^[3]，内部容积约为440公里³^[3]。坑内地表凹凸不平，中心点偏西坐落了一座小中央峰。
