斯托克斯环形山（Stokes）是位于月球正面西北边沿的大撞击坑，其名称取自爱尔兰裔英国数学家暨物理学家乔治·加布里埃尔·斯托克斯爵士(1819年-1903年)，1964年被国际天文学联合会正式批准接受。
描述
[编辑]该陨坑北侧、东北和东南三面分别与勒尼奥环形山、伏打环形山及兰利环形山交相重叠[1]。其中心月面坐标为52°22′N 88°07′W / 52.36°N 88.11°W，直径53.85公里[2]，深度约2.4公里[3]。
斯托克斯环形山外观虽保留了圆形的特征，但坑壁轮廓已被相邻陨坑严重更改，其北侧和东北壁稍显平直、东、南及西北壁覆盖了数座小陨坑。该环形山坑壁最大高出周边地形1160米[3]，内部容积约2375公里3[3]。坑内南半部地表较为崎岖，覆盖了邻近陨坑形成时抛射的喷出物，但北半部地表却更为平坦，除北侧内壁底一座小杯状坑及另外一些更细小的撞击坑外，无其它突出的地貌结构。
