赛德尔环形山(Seidel)是月球背面南半球一座古老的大撞击坑，约形成于前酒海纪[1]，其名称取自德国数学家及天文学家菲利普·路德维希·冯·赛德尔(1821年-1891年)，1970年被国际天文学联合会正式批准接受。
描述
[编辑]该陨坑西南偏西毗邻儒勒·凡尔纳环形山；西北坐落着巴甫洛夫环形山；霍勒谢克陨石坑和谢尔宾斯基环形山位于它的北面；东北和南面分别是奥戴环形山和伦德马克环形山。赛德尔环形山的东面临近智海[2]。该环形山的中心月面坐标为32°39′S 152°28′E / 32.65°S 152.47°E，直径55.4公里[3]，深度2.7公里[1]。
赛德尔环形山磨损度中等，边缘轮廓呈圆形状。外壁因侵蚀而平缓，东南偏南壁横跨着卫星坑"赛德尔斯 J"；南侧壁上覆盖有毗邻陨坑形成时溅射的岩石，陨坑其余部分坑壁保存相对完好，坑壁平均高出周边地形1220米[1]，内部容积约3300公里3[1]。碗状的坑底较为平坦，表面散布着一些细小的陨坑。
