蒂尔陨石坑（Thiel）是位于月球背面北半部的一座大撞击坑，约形成于38-32亿年前的晚雨海世[1]，其名称取自德国火箭设计师，火箭工程创始人之一—瓦尔特·蒂尔（1910年-1943年），1970年被国际天文学联合会正式批准接受。

该陨坑西北偏西毗邻冯·蔡佩尔环形山、北面靠近凯特尔环形山，古尔斯特兰德陨石坑和珀赖因环形山分别位于它的东北偏北及东北、而东南及东南偏南方则坐落了沙利叶环形山和克卢特环形山[3]。
该陨坑中心月面坐标为40°10′N 134°34′W / 40.17°N 134.56°W，直径35.67公里[4]，深度约2.12公里[1]。
蒂尔陨石坑壁沿峭薄，外观大致圆状，西、北二侧略微外突，沿西南壁延伸着一串小撞击坑链。该陨坑内侧壁具有较高的反照率，部分区域不太平整，环坡底分布有岩屑堆。坑壁最大高出周边地形980米[1]，内部容积约916立方千米[1]。坑内地表较为崎岖，从中心点附近到北侧内壁连接了一道已磨损的低矮山脊，坑底西部也分布有二道与坑壁平行的弧形山脊。
