法拉第环形山(Faraday)是位于月球正面南部高地上的一座古老大撞击坑，约形成于前酒海纪[1]，其名称取自(1452–1531)，英国实验物理学家暨化学家迈克尔·法拉第(1791年-1867年)，1935年被国际天文学联合会批准接受。
描述
该陨坑坐落在施特夫勒环形山的东南侧壁上，东面紧邻马若利科环形山、东南偏南则坐落着利切蒂环形山[2]。
该陨坑中心月面坐标为42°27′S 8°45′E / 42.45°S 8.75°E，直径69.03公里[3]，深度约2.753公里[4]。
法拉第环形山外观接近圆形，坑壁已明显磨损。沿边缘覆盖了一些后续的撞击坑，最突出的是重叠在西南坑壁上的一对撞击坑及横跨在西北侧壁上的一座小陨坑。该环形山坑壁平均高出周边地形1280米[1]，内部容积约4214.58公里³[1]。坑内一道西南-东北走向的低矮山脊，几乎将整个坑底一分为二，西北半侧坑底平坦，而东南半侧则较崎岖。

按惯例，最靠近法拉第环形山的卫星坑将在月图上以字母标注在它的中心点旁边。
