蜑家話
水上人講嘅蜑家話，同廣東話唔係分別咁大，主要係水上生活用字特別豐富。

蜑家粵語發音亦同一般粵語發音有少少唔同，冇前圓唇元音[1]，蜑家人會講「洗角裝糠，洗面爽床」，打魚講成「打椅」。
所以當時英國人喺香港仔登陸，從蜑民陳群以蜑家話回答中得知嘅香港個名係「Hong Kong」「糠港」， 而唔係正宗粵語 「Heung Gong」，並沿用至今。
