Smokey Robinson, właśc. William Robinson (ur. 19 lutego 1940 w Detroit^[1]) – amerykański piosenkarz popowy, jeden z pionierów gatunków rytm and blues, soul i urban, jeden z najwybitniejszych artystów, kompozytorów i producentów firmy Motown.

Przez magazyn Rolling Stone został umieszczony na 5. miejscu listy najwybitniejszych twórców muzyki rozrywkowej^[2]. Jego utwór, The Tracks of My Tears znalazł się na 50. miejscu listy 500 utworów wszech czasów tego samego magazynu.

Robinson obdarzony bardzo czystym, wysokim tenorem, rozpoczął swą karierę śpiewając w grupie wokalnej Matadores, by wkrótce rozpocząć solową karierę.

Robinson śpiewał przy akompaniamencie własnej grupy wokalnej The Miracles.
