Konfyt word op 'n stoof gekook.

Konfyt is 'n smeermiddel wat uit 'n pasta van vrugte en suiker of soms pektien bestaan. Dit word gebruik om op brood en ander gebak te smeer om dit ekstra geur te verleen. Die meeste konfyte word gekook en ingelê terwyl dit nog warm is.
