中子星是相对论螺旋喷流的来源,在X射线中观测到,但没有检测到电波讯号[1]。在复合处理的影像(右)中,中子星脉冲星是点状体伴随着的脉冲星风云尾随在后约3光年。与脉冲星旋转轴对齐的喷流,垂直于脉冲星的轨迹,并延伸超过37光年(大约是太阳与毗邻星距离的9倍)。估计喷流的速度是光速的80%。

该恒星最初被假设为快速旋转,但后来的测量显示其自旋速率只有15.9Hz[2][3]。这种相当缓慢的旋转和没有吸积证据的事实表明,喷流既没有旋转也没有吸积的动力。已检测到反向的喷流(未显示在图中),但是它非常微弱,可能是相对论性射束英语Relativistic beaming[4][5]。 喷流长度三分之一的字转突变起源尚不清楚,但可能是喷流的关闭和重启,或喷流方向的变化。
