鼬熊（Cephalogale）是像熊的食肉目，大小细小如狗或猫。牠们生存于3000万年前渐新世的欧洲，当时这地方是由巨大的肉食性及草食性哺乳动物所统治。鼬熊可能是生活在荫暗处。牠的牙齿有裂牙，是熊的祖先[1]。鼬熊的祖先是细齿兽类，而细齿兽类中衍生出犬熊、鳍足亚目、鼬科及原始的熊总科（当中包括了鼬熊）。
