杆菌肽（bacitracin）是由枯草杆菌的变种“崔西”之地衣状菌素有机体所产生的相关环肽之混合物，在1945年首次分离出来。这些肽借由干扰"肽聚糖合成"及细胞壁而破坏革兰氏阳性菌及革兰氏阴性菌的微生物体。
杆菌肽，主要是用来作为外用制剂（因为内服使用时，它会引起肾损害）。
虽然使用任何抗生素会形成抗生素抗药性，而杆菌肽局部的外用较少会产生如内服使用的肾损害。然而，如杆菌肽一般的抗生素机制已显示出会有皮肤刺激的副作用，并且可能减慢愈合的程度。[1][2]
医疗用途
杆菌肽是用于人类医学的多肽抗生素，并被“美国食品药品监督管理局（FDA）批准用于鸡和火鸡”，尽管在动物使用会导致抗生素耐药性。[3]
