川边特别区

川边特别区为中华民国在川边（藏族的康区）的一个历史政区，川边特别区于1914年设置，治所位于现今的四川康定县。1935年该地的一部分划出设置西康行政督察区（由四川军阀刘文辉主政）。1939年川边特别区并入西康省[1][2]。

沿革
清光绪三十年（1904年），建昌道赵尔丰向四川总督锡良上“平康三策”，第二策是将西康改土归流，建为行省。1906年，清政府任命赵尔丰为“川滇边务大臣”，在康区推动改土归流，目的是直接统治康区。1911年，川滇边务大臣傅嵩炑奏请西康建省，但因清朝被推翻而没有实现。[3]1912年（民国元年），民国政府积极筹划西康建省。1914年划康定以西（包括金沙江以西的今昌都地区）为川边特别区，受四川节制。然而因康藏边界纠纷，中华民国仅能管辖金沙江以东地区。1927年夏，刘文辉入主西康。国民政府于1935年7月22日在川边特别区成立西康建省委员会，直至1939年西康建省。
