猎户座χA1是一颗光谱型为O10V，并正度过主序星阶段的蓝超巨星。其伴星猎户座χＢ的质量是太阳的x2，公转周期14.1年，估计星体分类为A1V。 猎户座χ1被认为是大熊座移动星群的外围恒星之一。
