梵语ऊपेक्खाUpekṣa,或upekṣaka,adhyupekṣaṇā),又译等舍,佛教术语,是一种平等而安稳的心态。为四梵住七觉支之一。它也是一种心所,说一切有部将其列入大善地法中。

字义

在梵文中,舍(Upekkhā)由upa(平等)以及ikkha(看见)所组成,字面意义为平等、不带成见、不偏颇的观看。

概论

舍是一种平等作意,不带贪念[1]。释迦牟尼主张在修行时,对于五蕴,应该采取不乐、不赞叹、不取、不着的态度,保持在平等舍的态度,就能让心解脱[2][3]

舍可分为,受舍,行舍,无量舍三种[4]
