迦尸国（梵语：काशी，Kāśī，意为“光明之城”），义净译作荻苗国[1]，是古印度十六大国之一，在多部吠陀时期的印度经典皆有记载，建国于公元前六世纪，位于恒河流域，以首都波罗奈（今瓦拉纳西）为中心，故又名波罗奈国或婆罗痆斯国。东以松河为界，国境约相当于今日的印度北方邦东部。
迦尸国力强盛，迄考底利耶的时代均是吠陀学和世俗教育的中心。《大唐西域记》卷七载：“婆罗痆斯国，周四千余里。国大都城西临殑伽河，长十八九里，广五六里。闾阎栉比，居人殷盛，家积巨万，室盈奇货。人性温恭，俗重强学，多信外道，少敬佛法。气序和，谷稼盛，果木扶疏，茂草靃靡。伽蓝三十余所，僧徒三千余人，并学小乘正量部法。”。据《本生经》记载，国都波罗奈是当时印度最富裕的城市[2]。
