深椎龙属（学名：Bathyspondylus）是蛇颈龙目的一属，生存于侏罗纪晚期（启莫里阶）的英格兰威尔特郡的斯温顿[1]。深椎龙的化石是在1774年发现，在1982年命名[1]。深椎龙的化石只有脊椎，因此古生物学家无法确定深椎龙的归类。[2]。
词源
[编辑]模式种是斯温顿深椎龙（B. swindoniensis），属名在希腊文意为“深的脊椎”；种名则是以化石发现地为名，威尔特郡的斯温顿[3]。
叙述
[编辑]深椎龙的椎体的前后长度短，因此上下长度相对较长[1]。脊椎的前后面平坦、或有凹处[1]。正模标本是在1774年发现，似乎同时有上龙亚目、蛇颈龙亚目的特征，因此无法确定其归类[1]。
