长锁龙（属名：Leptocleidus）又名细锁龙或纤锁龙，在希腊文中意为“修长的锁骨”，是蛇颈龙目蛇颈龙亚目长锁龙科的一属[1][2]，是种掠食者爬行动物。
叙述

长锁龙拥有大型锁骨、间锁骨，以及小型肩胛骨，外形类似侏罗纪早期的菱龙以及白垩纪的双臼椎龙科。上颌骨两侧各有21颗牙齿，下颌的齿骨两侧各有接近35颗牙齿。头颅骨呈三角形，鼻孔末端到鼻部拥有矢状脊。长锁龙与上龙科的差异包含：颈部肋骨为单头，颈椎中心有个深凹处。长锁龙的身长平均为3米，但其中一种L. superstes的身长只有50%长，使牠们成为已知最小的长锁龙。
分布与栖息地
[编辑]不像许多蛇颈龙类，长锁龙生存于浅潟湖与盐水与淡水间的环境，例如大型河口。A. R. I. Cruikshank推论这是为了远离大型蛇颈龙类与上龙类。大部分的长锁龙都发现于不列颠群岛，但南非长锁龙（L. capensis）则被发现于南非的开普省。
长锁龙被发现于以下沉积层：
- 南非长锁龙（L. capensis）：南非开普省的礼拜日河组（Sundays River Formation），地质年代属于凡兰今阶[3]。
- L. superstes：英格兰塞克斯郡的威尔德黏土层上层，地质年代属于巴列姆阶。
- L. clemai：西澳大利亚卡那封盆地，地质年代属于豪特里维阶到巴列姆阶。
- 长锁龙的未分类标本（Leptocleidus sp.）：威特岛的威克蒂斯组（Vectis Formation）地层，地质年代属于下阿普第阶。
