海平面基准

1929年海平面基准（英语：Sea Level Datum of 1929），或官方名称1929年国家大地垂直基准（英语：National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929、NGVD29）[1]是由美国国家大地测量局确定并发布用于测量高于平均海平面点海拔和低于平均海平面洼地的垂直基准。
海平面基准其后被北美垂直测量基准（英语：North American Vertical Datum of 1988、NAVD88）取代。[2]
模型
平均海平面用26个验潮仪上测量：美国21个，加拿大5个。基准面由在26个验潮仪观测到的平均海平面高度和由观测值调整得出的所有基准标高集合来定义。调整总共需要66,315英里（106,724公里）的水准测量，其中246个闭合回路和25个海平面回路。
由于1929年的海平面基准是一个混合模型，不是平均海平面、大地水准面或任何其他等势面的纯模型。因此于1973年5月10日被美国国家大地测量局更名为1929年国家大地垂直基准（NGVD 29）。[1]
