国际地球参考系统
国际地球参考系统（英语：International Terrestrial Reference System, ITRS）描述了如何创建适合使用的参考系应用于地球表面或接近表面的测量过程。这是以很多的物理标准做为叙述，创建出一组可能的现实化标准的相同过程。ITRS定义了一个大地测量的座标系统 ，作为SI的测量系统。
国际地球参考框架（英语：International Terrestrial Reference Frame, ITRF）是国际地表参考系统的实现。新的ITRF解决方案每隔数年就会使用最新的数学和测量方法，尽可能的实现ITRS的精确度。由于实验误差，任何给定的ITRF与其它的ITRF都会有些微的差异。同样的，最新的世界大地测量系统和最新的ITRF也有几厘米的差异[1]。
实际的导航系统都会引用特定的ITRF解决方案，或是参考某一个ITRF解决方案予以修改作为自己的座标系统。
ITRS和ITRF的问题和维护都由IERS负责。
