华人于巴基斯坦工作和生活在2009年估计有10,000人[1]。2015年有8,112名中国工人在巴基斯坦[3]，另有7,000位中国专业人士参与中国-巴基斯坦经济走廊的建设，使巴基斯坦华人人口增到15,000人[4]。
分布
卡拉奇
在20世纪40年代中国许多穆斯林为逃离在中国的时局动荡和战乱而来到卡拉奇定居[2]，但巴基斯坦华人多数不是穆斯林。他们的先辈是佛教徒，但随后几代人约30%人成了穆斯林[5]。
大多数在卡拉奇的华人是移民，第一代移民大多已离开了人世，而第三代华人大都移民到其他国家[5]，常见的目的地是美国、加拿大和英国，或回到中国大陆[2]。他们很少穿中国服装，但仍保留了中国的语言，但在最近几年他们已经多转为说乌尔都语[2][5]。他们集中生活在几个街区，成为所谓唐人街[6]。其中有一所中餐厅名为李殿贤，在20世纪30年代创立，周恩来曾经光顾过，并继续经营直到1988年[7]。
巴基斯坦华人常见的职业包括美容师，制鞋，牙医和餐饮业；第二代多数成员倾向于遵循和父母相同的工作[5]。
其他地区
在拉合尔，回族穆斯林建立了一所清真寺，他们和当地人通婚并融入当地[8]。还有两个中国鞋企:合生创展和金森，有高品质的声誉[9]。
在伊斯兰堡，有一间中餐馆凤凰餐厅，它著名的客人是前总统穆沙拉夫和前总理肖卡特·阿齐兹[7]，而费萨尔清真寺也是中国游客常到景点[来源请求]。
吉尔吉特中国烈士陵园是在1960-70年代为建造喀喇昆仑公路而死的中国工人的纪念陵园。
饮食

外劳
911袭击后，因为害怕战争可能在巴基斯坦爆发，大多数华人安排自己的妻子和孩子回家[11]。但华人人数仍增加，2007年有大约5000位华人[12]，其中3500位是工程师为了瓜达尔港等各项建设来到巴基斯坦。在2008年和2009年间，巴基斯坦工作的华人人数增长迅速，估计有10000人[1]。
华人中的少数民族
并不是所有巴基斯坦的华人都是汉族，有些是来自中国新疆的少数民族，如维吾尔族、塔吉克族和柯尔克孜族[13]。这些来自中国的穆斯林少数民族大多生活在巴基斯坦北部。有些是在20世纪50年代因新疆时局动荡而迁入巴基斯坦[14]，在1954年有的维吾尔族人在和田搞暴动失败后而逃入巴基斯坦境内[15]。另一些中国的少数民族在1963年和1974年来到[16]。在20世纪80年代又有一些维吾尔人到麦加朝圣后顺道定居在巴基斯坦[17]。
