少尉 (恒星)

少尉(天龙座κ)也称紫微右垣二,是一颗位于天龙座的蓝巨星，他的固有名称是Ketu，意思是龙尾，但却很少被使用。在吠陀（古印度的星占学）的月球周期中是月球最南的结点。

在城市灯光下，视星等3.88等的天龙座κ星几乎无法用裸眼直接看见，但无论如何，他还是一颗很有分量的恒星，质量大约是太阳的5倍，真实的亮度是1,400倍，只因为距离地球490光年远而只是勉强可见并显得昏暗。

天龙座κ星目前可能正进入红巨星的阶段，在核心氢的供应正在枯竭。在未来的数千年中，这颗星将开始膨胀，从地球看会变得更为明亮，但因表面温度更低而更偏红。

现在这颗星的位置在赤纬+69°47'18"，赤经12^h33^m29.0^s（历元J2000.0），但因岁差变化，约公元前1,793年至公元前1,000年之间，他是肉眼能见的最靠近北极的恒星。不过因为他的光度过于黯淡，当时的北极星头衔被帝星（小熊座β）所取代。
