南翼龙属（属名：Pterodaustro，意为“来自南方的翅膀”）又名南方翼龙或南翅翼龙，是种生存于南美洲的白垩纪翼龙类，生存于1亿500万年前。南翼龙翼展长达132公分，拥有大约1000颗长而狭窄的鬃毛形状牙齿，被推测以过滤方式捕食猎物，类似现代红鹤。[1]牠嘴部里的鬃毛状结构可能用来过滤水中的甲壳动物、浮游生物、藻类、以及其他小型水中动物。牠可能在浅水中涉水而行过滤食物，类似红鹤，或飞行时可能掠过水面，用喙状嘴捞起食物。南翼龙一旦抓到食物，牠可能用牠上颌的小型球状牙齿将食物捣碎。
南翼龙的化石发现于阿根廷巴塔哥尼亚圣路易斯省的拉加尔西托组（Lagarcito Formation）地层和智利的圣安娜组（Santa Ana Formation）地层，年代都属于早白垩世的阿尔布阶。南翼龙的属名是拉丁文 pteron de austro（南方之翼）的混成词，意指其发现地位于南半球，是由阿根廷古生物学家约瑟·波拿巴于1969年首次提出的，但直到隔年被正式发表之前都属于无效的裸名。模式种是吉氏南翼龙（P. guinazui），种名来自20世纪的阿根廷地质学家罗曼·吉尼亚祖（Román Guiñazú）。
