Фтизис глазного яблока — высохший,[3] не функционирующий глаз. Это может быть результатом тяжелого глазного заболевания, воспаления,[4] травмы, или результатом осложнения после хирургической операции.[5] Лечебные функции могут включать вставку протеза, которая может последовать после энуклеации глаза.[6][7]
