Ekonomi terencana

Ekonomi terencana adalah sistem ekonomi yang mengatur investasi dan alokasi modal sesuai dengan rencana-rencana ekonomi dan produksi yang telah dicanangkan. Ekonomi terencana dapat didasarkan pada perencanaan ekonomi yang tersentralisasi, terdesentralisasi, atau bersifat partisipatif.^[1]^[2] Sementara itu, ekonomi komando adalah ekonomi yang direncanakan di Uni Soviet dan Blok Timur - istilah ini menggarisbawahi peranan pemerintah pusat dalam mengalokasikan sumber daya di dalam suatu sistem ekonomi.^[3]^[4]

Ekonomi terencana sering kali dikaitkan dengan sosialisme, dan dalam sejarah didukung dan diimplementasikan oleh negara sosialis Marxis-Leninis. Ekonomi terencana berlawanan dengan ekonomi tak terencana, seperti ekonomi pasar.

Meskipun kebanyakan ekonomi-ekonomi pada saat ini menggunakan ekonomi campuran berbasis pasar (yang hanya sebagian yang terencana), ekonomi terencana secara penuh seperti di Uni Soviet masih dijalankan di Kuba, Korea Utara dan Laos.^[5]

Ekonomi terencana dalam fiksi

Novel 1888 Looking Backward karya Edward Bellamy menggambarkan sebuah ekonomi terencana fiksi di Amerika Serikat pada sekitar tahun 2000 yang telah menjadi sebuah utopia sosialis.

Negara Dunia di dalam novel Brave New World karya Aldous Huxley dan Airstrip One di dalam novel Nineteen Eighty Four karya George Orwell adalah contoh ekonomi komando.

Ekonomi terencana juga digambarkan di dalam novel We karya Yevgeny Zamyatin, yang terinspirasi dari novel Orwell. Seperti Nineteen Eighty Four, kisah distopia Anthem karya Ayn Rand juga merupakan sebuah penggambaran artistik dari ekonomi komando yang terinspirasi dari We. Perbedaannya adalah karya tersebut memakai ekonomi terencana yang primitif, sementara ekonomi terencana di novel We atau Brave New World menggunakan teknologi maju.

Ekonomi terencana
