Saul Perlmutter (s. 22. syyskuuta 1959) on yhdysvaltalainen astrofyysikko Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory -tutkimuslaitoksessa ja fysiikan tohtori Kalifornian yliopistossa, Berkeleyn kampuksella. Perlmutter palkittiin Nobelin fysiikanpalkinnolla yhdessä Brian Schmidtin ja Adam Riessin kanssa lokakuussa 2011 maailmankaikkeuden kiihtyvän laajenemisen tutkimuksesta kaukaisia supernovia tutkimalla.^[1]^[2]
