David James Thouless (21. syyskuuta 1934 – 6. huhtikuuta 2019^[1]) oli skotlantilainen fyysikko ja professori Washingtonin yliopistossa. Thouless jakoi Nobelin fysiikanpalkinnon F. Duncan M. Haldanen ja J. Michael Kosterlitzin kanssa vuonna 2016.^[2]^[3]
