蜡嘴雁（学名 Cereopsis novaehollandiae），又名巴伦角鹅，是澳洲南部一种大型的鹅。
特征
[编辑]蜡嘴雁的体型粗大及呈灰色，有黑色圆斑点。尾巴及飞羽都是黑色的，腿及脚掌分别呈粉红色及黑色。喙短及向下弯曲，呈黑色；蜡膜呈绿色。
蜡嘴雁长75-100厘米，重3.1-6.8公斤，翼展1.5-1.9米。雄鸟较雌鸟大。牠们主要是牧食的，很少游泳。牠们是独居的，于繁殖季节时会组成小群。
分类
[编辑]蜡嘴雁的亲缘关系不详。[2]牠们可能属于雁亚科或麻鸭亚科下独立的族，又或是与已灭绝的Cnemiornis一同组成独立的亚科。
保育状况
[编辑]蜡嘴雁的数量曾一度减少，但却再次回升，可能是因适应了在农地觅食的习惯。牠们会在澳洲海岸岛屿上繁殖。饲养的蜡嘴雁繁殖理想。
在西澳洲州的细少群落是一个亚种，名为 Cereopsis novaehollandiae grisea。
