蜘蛛蟹总科（学名：Majoidea）是甲壳亚门十足目的一个总科，包括多个俗称为“蜘蛛蟹”的物种。本总科的物种体型较厚实而圆，足细长，行动迟缓。多数食腐肉。
分类
[编辑]根据Grave (2009)年原来的文献，蜘蛛蟹总科由五到六个科组成[1]：
- 卧蜘蛛蟹科（Epialtidae）
- 膜壳蟹科（Hymenosomatidae）：有争议，因为其形态特征介乎蜘蛛蟹总科和关公蟹总科两个物种之间。可能会被划归其他总科（例如：关公蟹总科）[2]。WoRMS于2016年将这个科独立出来，成立膜壳蟹总科[3]。
- 尖头蟹科（Inachidae）
- Inachoididae
- 蜘蛛蟹科（Majidae）
- 突眼蟹科（Oregoniidae）
豆眼蟹科（Pisidae）和 Tychidae被分类到卧蜘蛛蟹科之下，成为了豆眼蟹亚科（Pisinae）和Tychinae；而宝石蟹科（Mithracidae）则被分类到蜘蛛蟹科之下，成为了宝石蟹亚科（Mithracinae）[1]。

另外，Priscinachidae是蜘蛛蟹总科下的一个科，只有一个Priscinachus elongatus化石物种，发现于森诺曼阶[6]。
常见物种
[编辑]在蜘蛛蟹总科比较有名的物种包括有：
- 长喙大足蟹（Macropodia rostrata）：最小物种。
- 巨螯蟹（Macrocheira kaempferi）：其两螯伸展时两端相距逾4米（13呎），是最大的节肢动物，栖息于太平洋海底。
- 日本蜘蛛蟹（Maja japonica）
- Libinia emarginata：见于北美洲东岸的河口。
- Hyas (genus), a genus of spider crabs, including the great spider crab (Hyas araneus), found in the Atlantic and the North Sea.
- 欧洲蜘蛛蟹（Maja squinado）
- Australian majid spider crab, found off Tasmania, are known to pile up on each other, the faster-moving crabs clambering over the smaller, slower ones.[7]
- 矶蟹（Pugettia producta）：宽约1.25公分（0.5吋），长2.5公分（1吋）；背面绿红两色，下面绿色。
