国家航空和航天博物馆（英语：National Air and Space Museum）于1976年7月开馆，是全世界首屈一指的有关飞行的专题博物馆。座落在美国首都华盛顿特区的东南方，每月接待观众达10万之多，第一年的参观人数超过1000万人次，创美国各博物馆最高纪录。它是目前世界上最大的飞行博物馆，是由玻璃、大理石和钢材构成的现代化建筑。国家航空和航天博物馆另下设史蒂文·乌德沃尔哈齐中心（Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center），位于维珍尼亚州尚蒂伊。
历史
美国航空航天博物馆位于华盛顿独立路。 隶属于史密森学会。 前身是美国国会街1946年建立的国家航空博物馆，1966年改今名，1976年迁今址。 建筑面积6.3万平方米，陈列面积2万平方米。 博物馆的正厅命名为“飞行里程碑”，形形色色的飞行器或悬吊在大厅天花板下，或停放在宽敞大厅的地面上。
