统一场论是一种只需要用单一场论就可以完美解释所有种类的基本粒子之间的基本相互作用。在同一原则为前提底下,可以解释各种不同粒子之间的关系的物理理论。截至目前为止尚没有成功的统一场论出现,而统一场论也是今日物理学界研究的重点之一。统一场论这个名词首先由阿尔伯特·爱因斯坦提出,他也曾试图整合广义相对论以及电磁学成为一个单一场论。此外,万有理论也试图解释所有自然界中的常数成因,和统一场论相当的接近,但它们之间不同的是万有理论并不要求将自然界基础当作是
