篠笛是日本的一种传统木管乐器，由川竹（又称苦竹、篠竹）制成，上开有吹口和指孔，内面涂有漆与合成树脂。日本传统艺能中常略称为笛或称为竹笛。篠笛与尺八和长笛都是无簧片的笛类乐器。
本文所述均以西洋音乐的音名提及，符号记述按英美习惯（德国用H代替B、用B代替Bb）。参见音名条目。
概要
篠笛受到日本平民的喜爱，因为其制作和装饰简单朴素，贵族和武士等上流阶级中流行龙笛、能管，这两种乐器的装饰和制作比篠笛都要复杂得多，而且也更为昂贵。
篠笛的特征差异包括外卷物的有无、多少、素材、涂漆程度、颜色，指孔数（六孔、七孔）、长度、调律种类数（如囃子用、呗用），这导致篠笛在日本全国各地存在着多种多样的形制。
