第66届黄金时段艾美奖（英语：66th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards）由美国电视艺术和科学学院（英语：Academy of Television Arts & Sciences）主办，奖励自2013年6月1日至2014年5月31日期间在美国播映的优秀黄金时段电视节目。颁奖典礼于2014年8月25日在加利福尼亚州洛杉矶诺基亚剧院举行，由全国广播公司负责转播。[2]颁奖典礼由美国喜剧演员和主持人塞斯·梅耶斯主持，这也是他首次主持艾美奖的颁奖典礼。[3]

本届艾美奖的创意艺术奖于8月16日颁发。[1]

典礼时间安排

第66届黄金时段艾美奖颁奖典礼于周一晚举行，这是这一奖项自1976年（当届典礼于1976年5月17日周一举行）以来首次不在周日举行。[2]2006年全国广播公司获得国家美式橄榄球联盟周日夜晚比赛的转播权，之后每当轮到由全国广播公司直播的黄金时段艾美奖，颁奖典礼的时间会由9月中旬（美国广播公司、CBS和福斯广播公司通常在这一时间举行颁奖典礼）提前至劳动节之前的周日，以避免与美式橄榄球比赛的直播相冲突。根据这一惯例，全国广播公司本应于8月24日举行本届颁奖典礼，但MTV已于一年之前确定将于当晚举行MTV音乐录影带大奖，[4]且同样是在洛杉矶附近地区举行。全国广播公司为避免冲突，在2014年1月宣布将在之后一天，即8月25日举行黄金时段艾美奖的颁奖典礼。[2]这一时间安排使得全国广播公司得以在24日晚转播美式橄榄球联盟辛辛那提孟加拉虎对阵亚利桑那红雀的季前赛，也遵循了以往黄金时段艾美奖在创意艺术艾美奖之后一周周末举行的惯例。[2]

颁奖典礼定于洛杉矶当地时间工作日晚5点开始，人们因此担心洛杉矶市区会在高峰时段出现交通堵塞影响颁奖典礼的正常举行。主办方电视艺术和科学学院于是与洛杉矶市政府合作，在出席嘉宾的门票礼包中加入一份地图，地图上提前标注出因颁奖典礼而关闭的道路以及嘉宾红毯区，同时还注明了包括交通路线和停车指南在内的交通指引。[5]

投票和奖项变化

电视艺术和科学学院宣布本届黄金时段艾美奖首次采用网络投票，学院成员通过网络投票选出各奖项的最终提名，但最终奖项的得主仍然由纸质投票选出。2015年之后才会由学院成员采用网络投票选出各奖项最终得主。[6]

电视艺术和科学学院还修改了黄金时段艾美奖和创意艺术奖的部分奖项设置。黄金时段艾美奖方面，最佳迷你电视系列剧或电视电影被拆分为“最佳迷你电视系列剧”和“最佳电视电影”两个奖项。这两个奖项于2011年合并，当时这两种类型的剧集出现了下滑的趋势。但这两类剧集仅有这一奖项被拆分，迷你电视系列剧或电视电影类的其他奖项仍然是合并评选。[7]此外还增加了两个新的奖项：“最佳结构化真人秀节目”（Outstanding Structured Reality Program）和“最佳非结构化真人秀节目”（Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program）。至此，真人秀类节目被分为三个奖项，这两个奖项已于创意艺术奖颁发，另一奖项最佳真人竞技节目于黄金时段艾美奖时颁发。[8] 另外，电视艺术和科学学院还增加了编剧类、导演类和表演类奖项的提名人数，由原来的五个提名者增加至六个，投票程序也有变化。[7]喜剧类和剧集类奖项投票程序中新加入“2%规则”，即某奖项第一轮投票中，若第七名与第六名的得票相差小于2%，则可成为该奖项的第七个提名。[7]
