挺水性水生植物
挺水性水生植物包括草本与木本两类。它们通常生长在水边或水位较浅的地方，根也是长在土里，而叶片或茎却挺出水面，再者，挺水性植物的花多数在水面上开放，典型的草本挺水植物有野慈菇、水稻、芦苇、茭白笋、荷花、水芋与香蒲等。 另有挺水性木本植物，这通常是指生活于河流的出海口及半淡咸水的湖沼旁，而以红树林植物，如水笔仔等为主要代表植物。
