拔摩岛的约翰
拔摩岛的约翰（英语：John of Patmos），新约圣经中《启示录》的作者，根据《启示录》记载，他居住在希腊的拔摩岛上。
传统上，主流的基督教会都相信他就是十二使徒中的约翰，也就是写作《约翰福音》的福音书作者约翰。在中古时期之后，有一些基督教学者[谁？]认为撰写《启示录》的约翰不是十二使徒中的约翰[1][2]。
身份
依照主流教派的基督教会的观点，拔摩岛的约翰就是使徒约翰，也就是福音书作者约翰，这个看法最早出现在二世纪初期，由游斯丁提出[3]，为后世基督教会所接受。根据特土良的说法，使徒约翰在晚年流放到拔摩岛，在此写作了《启示录》。
在游社博与耶柔米的著作中记录了一位约翰长老，被认为是《启示录》的作者。虽然他的生平并不清楚，不过亚历山大的丢尼修主教（Dionysios of Alexandria）曾提出，有位以弗所教会的约翰长老，创作了《启示录》。
