Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman (1930)

Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman (1888.7.11, Tiruchchirappalli — 1970.21.11, Bengaluru) — hind fizigi. Hindiston Fanlar akademiyasi aʼzosi va uning prezidenta (1934-yildan). Madras universitetida taʼlim olgan (1903—1907). Kalkutta universitetida ishlagan (1917—1933). 1933-yildan Bengalurudagi Fan instituti direktori, 1933-yildan oʻsha yerdagi Raman ilmiy tadqiqot instituti direktori. Ilmiy ishlari optika, akustika, molekulyar fizika va kristallar fizikasiga oid. P. hind fizigi K.S. Krishnan (1898—1961) bilan hamkorlikda (rus olimlari L.I.Mandelshtam, G.SLandsbergdan mustaqil tarzda) yorugʻlikning kombinatsion sochilishi hodisasini kashf etdi va nazariy jihatdan asosladi (1928). Raman yorugʻlik difraksiyasi, ultratovush toʻlqinlar, kristallar fizikasi, atom yadrosi tuzilishi va boshqa sohalarda ham ilmiy ishlar qilgan. Nobel mukofoti laureati (1930)[1][2][3].
