商の微分法則

微分積分学における商の法則(しょうのほうそく、: quotient rule)は二つの可微分函数の比(商)となっている函数導函数の計算を述べるものである[1][2][3]

具体的に g, h はともに可微分で h(x) ≠ 0 として f(x) = g(x)/h(x) と書けば、この商 f の微分は で与えられる。

  1. f(x) ≔ tan(x) = sin(x)/cos(x) の導函数を求めるのに商の法則が利用できる:

陰函数微分を用いれば、商の n-階微分も((n −1)-階までの導函数を用いて)計算することができる。例えば、f⋅h = g を両辺二回微分して f″ について解けば を得る。
