Seamus Justin Heaney (Castledawson, 13. april 1939. - Dublin, 30. august 2013.), irski je pjesnik, dramski pisac i prevodilac.

Robert Lowell ga je opisao kao "najvažniji irski pjesnik još od perioda Yeats", a i mnogi drugi, uključujući i akademika John Sutherlanda, su izrazili isto mišljenje da je on bio "najveći pjesnik našeg doba".[1] Robert Pinsky je izjavio da "sa svojim divnim darom od oka i uha Heaney ima dar pripovjedača."[2] Nakon njegove smrti 2013. godine, The Independent ga je opisao kao "vjerovatno najpoznatiji pjesnik na svijetu."[3]

Dobitnik je Nobelove nagrade za književnost 1995. godine.
