万历四十四年（1616）进士，历任临淄、益都二县知县。天啓初擢御史，疏論客氏、魏忠贤，又請停内操。以年例遷廣東參議，良機方按貴州，不俟代而去，遂斥為民。崇禎元年起巡按廣東御史，又按宣大二鎮。升廣東副使。年滿當代，褒以敏練，令復廵一年，尋為中官王坤劾罷。久之，起光禄典簿，終南京吏部主事。
