一嚿火石

火石（Flint[1]）係一種沉積岩石。

香港東平洲喺新近紀形成嘅燧石層，因為比較硬而凸出

佢主要由矽藻喺海底沉積而成，所以主要成份係二氧化矽。因為噉，佢質硬，可以用來擦出火。

史

大清時，火石喺歐洲來[1]。打火時會放喺特制嘅盒（en:tinderbox），或者喺玻璃品之內[1]。
