黄臀象鼩（学名Rhynchocyon chrysopygus）是非洲的一种象鼩。
特征
[编辑]黄臀象鼩的大小如兔，只分布在肯雅蒙巴萨北部的阿拉布口索口科国家公园（Arabuko Sokoke National Park）。牠们的臀毛金色，与其他深色毛成强烈对比，故得此名。幼鼩如东非象鼩般有像棋盘的斑纹。
行为
[编辑]黄臀象鼩栖息在常绿林的森林植被，会逗留在叶堆中寻找草蜢、甲虫、蜘蛛及其他细小的无脊椎动物作为食物。
黄臀象鼩有多种策略来避开掠食者。当掠食者接近牠们时，牠们会拍打叶子令掠食者知道已被发现，不要浪费时间追逐牠们。牠们行动快速，速度高达每小时25公里。被追逐时，臀部的金毛会吸引其注意力，减低被杀死的机会。另外，牠们有几个巢穴，可以扰乱掠食者。
保育
[编辑]黄臀象鼩由于其分布地有限，故处于濒危状况。[2]牠们也被野狗等猎杀。黄臀象鼩于2007年被列为头十位的边缘物种。[3]
