NGC 2028 是山案座大麦哲伦星系的一个疏散星团。该天体由英国天文学家约翰·赫歇尔 于1836年发现。也有说法是该天体可能已经于1826年9月24日已被苏格兰天文学家詹姆士·敦洛普发现。[1]
