《预言家日报》（英语：The Daily Prophet）是英国奇幻小说系列《哈利波特》里的虚构报纸，由预言家报业集团经营。小说中，它是英国巫师世界最大的报章杂志、阅读量最高的日报。[1]如同魔法世界里的照片，《预言家日报》所刊登照片中的人物会像动画一样移动。[2][3][4]《预言家日报》的总部设于伦敦的虚构地点对角巷。[5]
《预言家日报》比起事实更加注重销量。小说中的无良记者丽塔·斯基特形容：“《预言家日报》的存在是为了推销它自己”。[6][7][8]
概述
英国巫师主要透过这份报纸来获取魔法世界的资讯，因此不少魔法部员工及霍格沃茨的学生也会订阅《预言家日报》。然而，《预言家日报》缺乏新闻伦理，充满偏见和误导。在《哈利·波特与火焰杯》，《预言家日报》的无良记者丽塔·斯基特登场，她为了获取八卦新闻不惜化身成甲虫以窃听对话，发表了数篇夸张的不实报导。[9]
此外，《预言家日报》经常充当魔法部的喉舌。例如魔法部部长康奈利·福吉坚决否认伏地魔回归，曾利用《预言家日报》发起了一场诋毁邓布利多和哈利的运动，当伏地魔势力控制魔法部后，更刊登了不少偏颇的新闻。[10][11]
根据J.K.罗琳的说法，在《哈利波特》系列小说结束后，金妮·韦斯莱从霍利黑德哈比队退役，成为了《预言家日报》的资深魁地奇记者。[12][13][14]《预言家日报》后来发展出了晚报，名为《预言家晚报》（The Evening Prophet），以及周末版《周日预言家》（The Sunday Prophet）。[15]
改编电影
电影《哈利波特凤凰会的密令》的编剧麦可·戈登伯格运用《预言家日报》作为叙事工具。他表示：“媒体就是小说里的一个角色”，而且报纸的动态照片具有“独特的电影效果”。[16]
文化影响
J.K.罗琳曾经借用《预言家日报》记者丽塔·斯基特报导的名义来发表短篇故事；[17][18][19]华纳兄弟以该报之名发表《哈利波特》网站的新闻和活动页面。[20]2020年，哈利波特系列电影的平面艺术设计团队MinaLima宣布在真实世界贩售《预言家日报》，每份售价399英镑，其外观仿自第五集电影中的《预言家日报》。[21]
