雪上摩托车雪地摩托车用来在地行驶的交通工具,透过履带旋转来移动,行驶时不需要特定的道路。雪上摩托车一般只有一至两名乘员,常用于在滑雪场用于监视和救助用途,也广泛地给业余玩家用于冬季户外运动

发展历史

加拿大庞巴迪公司,在1922年开发橡胶制的无限轨道当作驱动装置。[1]1936年出现正式的产品。第二年的1937被命为为雪上摩托车的B7型号开始展开销售。也因为这样,庞巴迪公司总部所在的加拿大魁北克省,开始有了“雪上摩托车的发源地”的称呼。 日本在1970年之后,等到真正的雪上摩托车的竞速大会被举行后,日本全国的雪上摩托赛也开始普及了。

使用地区

因为热带气候的缘故,在香港几乎没有雪上摩托车,而台湾在山上较常见。在某些地区是冬季的主要代步工具,如美国北部、加拿大跟日本北海道。

环境影响

这种交通工具本身会造成空气污染噪音布希政府之前打算增加美国黄石国家公园的雪上摩托车的数量。后来因为环境问题,提案遭到美国联邦法院否决。[2]
