能斯特发光体(英语:Nernst glower)是一种旧式的白炽灯,它由瓦尔特·能斯特发明,可以提供光谱学所需的近红外线连续光源。能斯特发光体的外型通常被制造成圆柱体棒状或管状,由二氧化锆(ZrO2)、氧化钇(Y2O3)、氧化铒(Er2O3)三种化合物混合而成的氧化物混合物大概重量以90:7:3的比例制作。能斯特发光体须以电力加热至2000 °C始得运作,且加热过程刚开始需要外部热源加热,不能直接通电产生电流热效应,因为在室温下这种材料是绝缘体

能斯特发光体后来被一种称为格罗棒英语Globar碳化硅(SiC)电热棒取代,两者运作原理类似。差别在于,格罗棒在1100 °C就能运作,而且不需要任何初始加热器,因为它本身在各种温度下都是导体。格罗棒也比能斯特发光体更适合用于疏散避难系统。
