圣多明各危机是（英语︰Santo Domingo Crisis）指在1904年一位美国船员被多米尼加民兵所杀后，美国以此为借口入侵及炮击多米尼加。[1]
在香蕉战争时期，革命在中美洲十分常见。美国为了保护在这些地区的利益及公民，常会派遣海军在敌对海岸巡逻。多米尼加圣多明各市的叛军此前曾向两艘美国商船开火，并破坏了美国所拥有的甘蔗种植园。从 1903年11月开始，军舰USS Detroit上的海军陆战队曾登陆圣多明各，但在局势稳定时就撤走。1904年2月1日，辅助巡洋舰USS Yankee 在圣多明各附近海峡巡逻，观察卡洛斯·摩拉利斯·朗瓜斯 (Carlos Morales Languasco)政府与胡安·伊西德罗·吉米(Juan Isidro Jimenes Pereyra)所领导的叛军之间的战斗。美国派了一些人上岸与多米尼加人接触，但叛乱分子用轻武器袭击了他们。作为回应，西奥多·罗斯福总统下令巡洋舰哥伦比亚号和纽瓦克号前往圣多明各要求道歉。[2]
2月11日，悬挂美国国旗的哥伦比亚号护送其他美国商船，前往港口卸下货物。叛乱分子用轻武器对其。 几发子弹击中了轮船，但没有人员伤亡。两艘美国船只因此先后撤离，指挥官温赖特得到上级批准后，命令纽瓦克号轰炸圣多明各市。十分钟后轰炸停止，一支由 375 名美国人组成的部队登陆海滩。[3]
