硬鳞质

硬鳞质（Ganoine 或 Ganoin）是辐鳍鱼纲鱼类鱼鳞、鱼头和鱼鳍上的闪亮的组织，常有许多层。[1] 包含一些杆状的磷灰盐结晶，只有少于5%的成分是有机物质。 [2] 现存的有硬鳞质的鱼类包括多鳍鱼和雀鳝，一些已灭绝物种也有硬鳞质。[3] 是硬鳞的主要组成部分。
硬鳞质是一种古老的结构，在许多基干类群中都有发现。[3] 常被认为是辐鳍鱼的共源性状，已灭绝的棘鱼纲鱼类也有硬鳞质。[3]
硬鳞质被认为与脊椎动物的牙釉质同源，[1] 亦或可能根本就是一种釉质。[2] 因为它含有类似牙釉蛋白的蛋白质[1] 并含有同四足动物的牙釉质相同的矿物质。[4]
